DoubleTree by Hilton Breaks Ground at Greeley’s Lincoln Park

MCLEAN, Va. – Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) and Providence Hospitality Partners today announced that construction has started on a new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in downtown Greeley, Colorado. The new six-story, 147-room DoubleTree by Hilton Greeley hotel and conference center will be located on the former site of the city’s Lincoln Park Library, municipal court and Fire Station No. 1. The hotel will feature a full-service restaurant, pool, and 14,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, which includes a 12,000-square-foot ballroom.

Scott Ehrlich, spokesman and member of the hotel’s investment group, said “We think there’s going to be a lot of business coming to town that we’re currently losing. Not hotel business – I’m talking about conventions, banquets and events of that nature, which will embrace the meeting and conference space. We currently think the need is there, and we’re getting great response from a lot of people that say, ‘good, we can come to Greeley, and we’ll have a facility where we’ll be able to have our event.'”

Denver-based Providence Hospitality Partners will operate the hotel, which is expected to open in summer 2017.
