In 2020 Greeley will be named a Tree City USA for the 40th consecutive year by the National Arbor Day Foundation. This year’s Arbor Day Celebration will take place on Saturday, April 25, at 9 a.m. at Lincoln Park. Enjoy this free community event which includes planting trees in the park, light refreshments, and more.
As part of implementing the Energy Action Plan, the City of Greeley will be distributing packs of LED light bulbs with the saplings provided at Arbor Day through Xcel Energy’s Partners in Energy.
Attend the Arbor Day event and enter your name for the opportunity to have a tree planted at your home! Several local nurseries have been invited to participate and will be offering trees and planting as giveaways.
To be eligible for any of the tree planting giveaways, you must have a Greeley address
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m.
Participants must be present to win.
Prizes will be announced at approximately 11:45 a.m.
