The Weld County Sheriff Office invites the community to Bittersweet Park on May 16 for the 2019 Weld County Fallen Officers Memorial Celebration.
In 2018, 163 brave men and women in the United States lost their lives in the performance of their duties. In 2019 the Weld County community suffered a significant loss when Corporal Dan Groves of the Colorado State Patrol lost his life while on duty. Corporal Groves was helping a driver who had slid off I-76 when he was struck by another vehicle.
During the 2019 celebration on May 16th, we would like to honor the memory of Corporal Dan Groves by adding his name to the Weld County Fallen Officers Memorial.
Please join us for a short ceremony followed by a cookout that will allow a chance for the Weld County Community to spend time with the law enforcement personnel who serve and protect them every day.
