The Immigrant and Refugee Center of Northern Colorado offers free public presentations about the history, politics, and myths of refugee resettlement. This presentation, Refugee 101, is intended as a gateway for the interested public to come and learn basic information, have questions answered, and take the first step toward knowing our refugee newcomer neighbors. Breaking the false narrative about refugees in our community begins with becoming better informed and building a context for new information; this presentation will aid in that pursuit as well as be fun along the way. History Brown Bags are free afternoon events that aim to provide cultural and historical context to topics related to Historic Preservation in and around Greeley.
