For many of us, we want to start eating healthy after the holidays. Get a jump start on your New Year’s Resolution at the December 9 cooking demo. Greeley Recreation’s Fitness & Wellness Program is hosting the event from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Greeley Recreation Center.
This event is perfect for the plant-based curious and will introduce plant-based nutrition, phytonutrients, the microbiome.
The instructor, Eric Aakko, is a certified plant-based cooking instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. His cooking and wellness seminars have reached over 1,000 participants from locations across Colorado and beyond. Eric’s ongoing training includes becoming a professional plant-based chef and obtaining a certificate in plant-based nutrition from Cornell University. Learn more about Eric and plant-based eating on his website.
The cooking demo will include all recipes, generous food tastings of at least four scratch-made dishes, educational material, and a chance to win Eric’s book, Clean Endurance: The Plant-Based Scratch Kitchen Cookbook.
