We’re inviting everyone to the Greeley Unexpected Kick-off!
Bring your family and friends for a great community party!
The Greeley Unexpected Kick-Off is a super-charged Friday Fest/Go-Cup on the 9th Street Plaza. A free concert from 6 to 9 p.m. with the Pink Hawks. Pink Hawks is an Afrobeat / Chicano Hip-Hop orchestra, playing original and future-traditional music to dance to.
Go-Cup events allow adults to purchase an alcoholic beverage at any of the establishments in the Go-Cup district and carry it onto the plaza for the concert and other activities, as well as between the bars and restaurants. The Friday Fest/Go-Cup concert series runs every Friday from June through September.  For more information regarding Friday Fests, visit greeleydowntown.com.
We’ll also have Greeley Unexpected campaign displays, giveaways, and family entertainment.
This is the 6th year of the Greeley Unexpected campaign. Greeley Unexpected tells the city’s story with people, places, and things that exemplify what is unique and interesting about Greeley. The campaign springs, in part, from research that shows when people visit Greeley, they’re pleasantly surprised. They find that the community is much bigger, more diverse and more appealing than what they ever imagined.
In all corners of the city, people are saying they’re tired of old Greeley stereotypes and misperceptions and want to do something about them.
So an effort, supported by Greeley city government, the Greeley Chamber of Commerce, University of Northern Colorado, Aims Community College and others, is focusing on the idea that Greeley and its residents have much to offer that is absolutely positive.
The people, the places, the businesses, the events, and happenings; there is a lot more to Greeley than many people think.
