On Thursday, June 6th at noon, Military History Enthusiast and Geology and Geochemistry Professor Emeritus Don Runnells will present an illustrated talk about Battlefields, Cemeteries, and Monuments of World War II in western Europe.  He has made numerous trips to Europe to visit sites of important events in various wars, beginning with the Napoleonic Wars and continuing through World War II.  In this travelogue presentation of WWII sites he has visited, Dr. Runnells will share his photographs and impressions of places and events that helped to shape the outcome of World War II and thus the course of modern history in Europe.  The presentation will take place on the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission presents the  2019 History Brown Bag series held generally on the 4th Thursday of each month from January through October. Admission is free and no reservations are required.
