Greeley’s 2021 Martin Luther King Jr. Virtual March & Celebration takes place virtually on Jan. 18. Organizers from the City of Greeley, University of Northern Colorado, Aims Community College, School District 6, and High Plains Library District have planned some exciting things for the Greeley community to participate in this year’s MLK Virtual March.
There is no cost to register for the virtual march and performances. If you would like to watch the virtual performances, please register to receive the Zoom link.
Additionally, there is a registration option to receive an MLK shirt and button for $10 to wear on the day of MLK Virtual March. To receive a shirt, please order by Dec. 21. T-shirts can be picked up from Jan. 12-15 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m; the pickup time for the High Plains Library District Mobile Unit is 4-7 p.m. Masks will be required at all locations. You will specify your desired pick up location when you register.

DeAndre Smith, Soul Food Chef: DeAndre will give you a rundown on Soul Food and share a quick recipe from his kitchen.

Saida Dahir, Poet & Activist, Guest Speak: Saida Dahir from Salt Lake City is a student activist who uses spoken word to explore her place in America and the world. On the eve of her high school graduation, she recorded this poem.

Everyone will be prompted to put on their MLK gear and participate in marching in your neighborhood, tag a selfie on social media showing your support, wearing your gear, and walking in your neighborhood, park, etc., with #MLKGreeley2021.
